Greetings to you all! What a beautiful week! The weather
has been just fabulous. The snow is all melted. The lakes
are opening nicely. It is only April. I sure hope we don't
pay for this! I guess, think positive.
Bowling went well for me. I bowled a 495. My average is 137
so for me this was great! The last three weeks were city
bowling tournaments. Barb Vergin and I were doubles
partners. We took 3rd in the city. I took 4th in singles.
Yippee for us! We will know if we placed in team event on
Wednesday. We are heading to State bowling on Friday. I sure
hope we continue to bowl well. I know we will have fun!
Pool was the same. Everyone was having a great time. Larry
Lois and Harlan Klein won all 4. Harlan beat out Larry.
Larry said he had a hard time seeing the balls. NOT SURE
WHY? We have one week left of regular league. On the 14th we
have our end of the year party. Everyone is welcome. We have
a pool tournament and a cribbage tournament. We bring a dish
to pass. MUCHO fun!
It is nice to see all of the snowbirds flying back in! This
is a sure sign of spring. My brother from Indiana (Larry)
has been visiting since Sunday. It was sure nice to see him.
He hasn't been here for 7 1/2 years. He was amazed how
Barnes and the Trading Post have changed. Of course the
Wilderness Inn additions as well. He moved to Indiana from
Florida about 1 1/2 years ago. Very nice seeing him.
Reminder #1: We are having a singles 9 ball double
elimination pool tourney on April 30-May 1. Contact Ken
Lowery for further information. 795-2005.
Reminder #2: We will be closed for remodeling April
24-April 28.
Reminder #3: There will be a retirement party for Deb
Sesko and Lu Peet on April 10 starting at 2 pm at the VFW.
Come out and show your appreciation for their tenure as Town
Clerk and Treasurer. The did a fine job!
I am not sure of election results. Congrats to all won
ran for office!
Until next week...be good be safe and have fun.
Hugs!
