Greetings from beautiful Barnes. Where or where has October gone! It seems like you blink and the month is gone. The weather has been fantastic. Warm days and cool nights.

Bowling was fun as usual, we won 5 of 7 points and we bowled the first place team. After this week I believe there is a 3 way tie for first place. I bowled good my first game and then it was all down hill.

The Pack had a buy this week. The Badgers looked awesome winning big. They take on the Hoosiers this weekend.

Elliott ended up 1st place in bowling for the Loins Club benefit. He ended up 3rd place in pledges. He received a his first trophy for bowling and 50 dollars for getting the pledges. Good job E!
To my staff---You guys/gals are the best! I appreciate everyone of you! Keep up the great work. Thanks to everyone that pitches in when needed.
Jenneane and Larry and I ventured to Valhalla Pub and Grub for the Ashland Bayfield Tavern League fall fundraiser. Marshall made the trip up as well. What an adventure that was. Along the way we participated in the poker run that is going on for the Tavern Leagues Safe ride program. We made stops to the Pit Stop in Moquah (man that is in the boonies) and we stop at a place called Topside in Washburn. It is neat to venture to these small establishments. I did not win the 5000 dollars but I am 2-2 on winning TV's. There were record amounts of people. We did very well. The Pub and Grub is a very neat place tucked away in the boonies. Thanks Doug for a great party! Our next meeting is at the Pit Stop in Moquah we will be dealing the hands for the poker run Nov 12 at 1 pm . Everyone is invited. We also will have an organizational meeting Dec 5 at the Barnes Trading Post. We are looking for all members to step up to the plate and help out! Please join us.

Joanie has stepped up to the plate with the Eau Claire Lakes Business Association as secretary treasurer. She is doing an awesome job. We are responsible for the black brochures you see with the areas businesses. We also promote the area at sports shows and in the visitor magazines. Call me if you'd like to join or need more information.

Remember we serve food 7 days a week starting at 7 a.m. daily. Breakfast lunch and dinner! Anytime Bloody Mary's 2 bucks!
We will be having a Halloween party on Wed October 31. Costume judging will be at 9p.m. See you there it should be a blast!

The Motel is booking up fast for the fall especially on the weekends so if you are planning to reserve do so quickly! We do have availability for Hunting season and Thanksgiving!
